Chelsea!!?

What's going on with my team!? They are barely beating teams and losing to teams that they should be blowing out of the water, giving up leads...I can barely watch them sometimes. I have to say that I think that they are finally turning the season around. We currently sit fourth in the table and our next game is a tough one against Valencia in the Champions League. We should definitely come out on top. I'll still be rooting for the Blues to win it all. Especially since teams like Man Utd and City are having tough times of their own. Updated after Champions League Final in Munich, Germany... Chelsea pulled off the most miraculous upset I have ever seen in football. Didier Drogba came through in spectacular fashion as he pulled a goal back to even up the score after the young Mueller grabbed a goal after some sloppy defending. It came from a corner, which Chelsea haven't been able to convert too many this year. Chelsea did show great spirit in the fight back to get things even again. I think that after Drogba bagged the equalizer the entire team knew that they could win. Then, the heart-attacks began. Drogba brought down Ribery in the penalty area and Arjen Robben stepped up to take the penalty kick. I held my breath for what felt like 5 minutes. Somewhere deep down inside, I knew that he would miss. Cech guessed right, down to his left, and saved the kick. After that only about 10 minutes were left in the game and it went to extra time. No change in score. Then it went to the inevitable spot kicks. Again, deep down inside I knew we would win these kicks. During the short break I chatted with an English patron at the bar I was at. He had it in his mind that ALL English teams that made it to spot kicks would fail miserably and miss all of their kicks. I reasoned with him that it was only the national England squad that would fall victim to that. He figured I was right and I think I gained a follower. The kicks started...to save you the drama of each kick, it came down to the same player that even up the score during regular time. Drogba. With great calm, he dispatched his kick into the lower left corner and put Chelsea in complete control of the Champions League trophy. They became the first team from London to hold the trophy and everybody went hysterical. It was a great time in Chelsea history and I was glad to be apart of it, even though I was only watching. Next year should hold even more excitement.

Nothing in particular

Having a photo shoot today...haven't been commissioned to do one of those in a while. So we shall see. Just need to stay relaxed and have fun. Should be interesting at the very least. But I def need to hit the gym for about a good hour of just pumping iron before I will feel like I'm in tip top form. hahaha! I'll be sure to let you know how the shots turn out!

And the season comes to a close

A disappointing season for the Blues...Lost the last game of the season, came in second to the ManUre scum, scored NO goals, and had a lackluster performance...at least we came in second and didn't implode like the Arsenal young guns. I really did think that they had it in them this year to finally win something...however, they can't close games, i.e. they blew a 4-0 lead against Newcastle...sad and yet just goes to show that they are not ready just yet. Neither are CFC because we couldn't score goals. Torres did finally score. Once. I'm not knocking the guy, it takes time to get the feel for how opponents, now teammates pass an want to build up and score. He is a menacing threat and he will do much better next year I know. It has made Anelka more of a threat due to someone's playing time being cut because we picked up Torres. But my only question was during the final Man U match...Why not put Drogba, Anelka AND Torres up top and make the back line of the reds crap their pants?? Why not? They were having a bad spell and that could have made them more likely to make a mistake with three very good attackers up front instead of just one, then just pack the midfield and make it hard for Giggs to pick out his passes. That was my question and that was a very bad game which made Ancelotti look to maybe lose his coaching position during the summer more likely.

I realized it has been a while...

Oops.. I never meant to go so long without writing down my thoughts. It's good I have now come back to my senses. On the topic of football, since it it life, I am very proud of Chelsea for always being a great supporter and teammate to Torres. I wish I could've been there to cheer with everyone as 'Nando scored his first goal of many to come at Chelsea. I am very envious of the lives the English get to live being so close to such beautiful football. Soon I will have my chance in Denmark to make such a mark upon the world of football, hopefully to impress some higher ups into a chance for a lover of the game, such as myself. 3-0 to Chelsea over West Ham United. The talk of this coming week will be of Torres and Chelsea hitting all cylinders as ManU(re) hit a tough part of their schedule.
